ABOUT STINKIFACE MUSIC
Stinkiface Music, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, is owned and operated by President and Chief Visionary Officer Mo-Rece. Mo-Rece brings over fifteen years of experience in both the creative and business side of entertainment to the record label. He is a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (home of The Grammys), and is a professional musician, songwriter, sound engineer and producer.

Where does the name “Stinkiface” come from? The name describes “that face that people make when they hear a song that they love on the radio or in the club, maybe even something they haven’t heard in a long time,” Mo-Rece says. “It also describes the face that musicians give other musicians when they’re making good music.” Stinkiface Music is a music label with no labels – it does not specialize in any particular genre of music. Its focus is to help artists achieve creative freedom and artistic control in their music while make sound business decisions. Stinkiface Music's artists in addition to Mo-Rece (who is also an artist on his label). are: Femi The Dri Fish, and Janice B.
Femi The Dri Fish’s journey as a performer has included serving as one the lead lyricists for the hip hop-meets-spoken word band The 5th L. As part of The 5th L, he has performed on BET's Lyric Cafe' and shared stages with artists such as Musiq Soulchild, Saul Williams, Ursula Rucker, Raheem DeVaughn, Bill Cosby, and KRS One. The Dri Fish is also actively involved in using his talents to serve his community -- he participates in programs designed to introduce creative writing to students, and facilitates a violence intervention program at The University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center (VIP)His current solo project is entitled "The Clown With No Circus". He is backed by his band, “The Out of Water eXperience” on the alternative rock hip hop album, and has performed throughout the DMV area (D.C./Maryland/Virginia) including performances at Rams Head Live. Femi has also created music videos for three the project's releases, "Representing Lovely", "The 13th Floor", and "The Out of Water eXperience". Janice B., a singer/songwriter from Columbia began as a lead vocalist for a band making the rounds in the Maryland/District of Columbia entertainment scene. The praise she received for her smoky vocals gave her the courage to start recording on her own with Mo-Rece. After working with Mo-rece on a few songs, she was asked to join Stinkiface Music as a solo artist. Janice’s ability to convey depth of feeling in every thing she writes and sings has been dubbed “eclectic soul” and is evident in her first release, an EP entitled “Watch Me Fly”. The first release from the EP of the same name has generated significant buzz for the artist, and Janice B. released her first full length CD project "My Life" in December 2011.

While these artists vary greatly in terms of their material, it is just their distinct differences that made Mo-Rece bring them together. The one thing they all have in common? “Stinkiface artists are all outstanding writers,” he comments. “Each is extremely gifted in that area. The basis of their performing and recording talents comes from their ability to communicate all kinds of feelings through their words. They are all skilled wordsmiths and their wordplay is consistently creative and unexpected. And all of them possess a natural sense of music and rhythm that adds another element to their words. No matter what they are saying in their work as artists, what they say in their work has meaning because it is said artfully and honestly.”

Stinkiface Music looks forward to even greater successes in its future as it partners with corporations, other creative entities worldwide, and like minded music lovers who crave the unique and special sounds Stinkiface Music creates. Stinkiface Music looks forward to releasing new projects throughout 2011, including new CD and EP projects from its artists, new music videos, new live shows and a compiliation CD project that will feature all the label's artists.
